"The Company is taking this action after learning that one of its raw ingredients suppliers has recalled a batch of human-grade parsley that may contain Salmonella."
None of their products have been found to contain salmonella, but I still would have jumped all over, say, Purina for this.
sigh
Talk about bias. Now I know for sure what a two-faced person I am!

Ha, I was thinking the very same thing about myself, Connie! I have to say that this does not change my overwhelmingly positive opinion of THK in any way. As you said, they have not had any problems reported with their product, but I believe they are showing a commendable abundance of caution here.
Their products are all human-grade ingredients, produced in a human food plant, and even taste-tested by humans! This recall concerns an issue originating with one of their suppliers, nothing to do with their own manufacturing process.
The tainted parsley, unfortunately, is just another in a long line of human produce recalls that have happened in recent memory. I don't think there is any comparison here to other dog food recalls that have come about because of food safety and cleanliness issues at some pet food manufacturing facilities.
Personally, I distinguish between companies that discover or find out about a problem and voluntarily recall the product/s and those that deny responsibility and wait to recall until forced to by either the government, bad publicity or both.
I also distinguish between a recall for potential salmonella contamination in human grade parsley as opposed to say....non-edible poison in chicken not suitable for human consumption in a country with very few restrictions as to what goes into their peoples' food....
