Now those little things are all over my Poodle, a BAZILLION of them, caught up in his curls. I have used a flea comb, slicker brush, veggie oil, wet/dry, this is taking hours....any ideas?
He just had a bath and face shave on Thursday. He's due for a full groom in 2 weeks. I did 1 inch all over, except for ears & Tail on the last groom. I am rethinking the next one.
The slicker brush has worked the best. I used another detangler but dry seemed better. I can't see them on him, just feel them all embedded into his locks. I removed all that attached to his ears, body, but still have a lot on the legs left.
Amy, do you use the Cowboy Magic detangler? I'll see if that works better on his legs, Thank You!
Those 'hitch-hikers' are a PITA!!!! I have a little patch of a bush in my yard that I pull out every year...but it seems to still grow back. It is right in a narrow walk way spot that the dogs pass through all the time & they pick them up before it see it has grown high enough to produce the little buggers.
My poodle used to pick the up when we took her hiking. It is really hard to get them out of poodle hair.
I have dogs with very short coat but I have to say that my horses turn out paddock are burres free as I am the maniac how will cut any thing that will stick to a horse and salt the thing.
Salt and boiling water will kill just about any weed.
Well, I don't want to experience that again. Amy, the Cowboy Magic worked. I put it on my fingers and plucked each one individually. The slicker just seemed to move them to another spot.
Anne, they do grow back, we remove them all the time. These are way down back, the dogs don't usually travel back there, but Clay likes things with wings and climbing thru heavy brush. He still has a lot of the puppy fuzz, not fun!
Sounds good Ariane. I'll see if the salt keeps them from growing back as quickly as they do.
