I had consistently pudding stool from my perfectly healthy pup until I figured out that the portion size was too big for her to tolerate. You may want to consider portion size if you're having issues and have ruled out the other possible causes like parasites.
Agreed 100%.
Portion size can be both the basic cause, and a contributing factor with another basic cause.
That is, too much food at once can overwhelm the gut, and also, if something else is presenting a problem (a rich addition to a diet), a lot of it is far more likely to trigger very soft poop than a little bit of it.
It all fits in with the fast to let the gut have a break, maintaining hydration, of course, and with tiny snack-meals when the food is reintroduced.

and thighs contain alot more fat content.
I would use chicken breast cooked in with the rice.
and way way over cook the rice till it's a sloppy goopy mess.
Yup. We sound like a broken record, but it's the overcooked soupy rice. The chicken (breast only) is really included just to make it palatable (boneless meat is not a poop-firmer). Over the short term, ending the diarrhea trumps a balanced diet. So the soupy overcooked rice is the star here. Don't drain it, because the thick liquid around it now contains the same firming benefit that the white rice has.
A little pumpkin, too, if you have it.
But the very soft overcooked white rice is, as Grandma used to say, "binding." Exactly what you want.
He is still great, although it turns out he had tapeworms which I just now popped the pill in for that. No surprise there.
I used brown rice. I figured it had more fiber, and I have been adding a little chicken and origen(tiny amount) to get him back to regular food. Not sure how long he could stay on the diet. I also add a lot of liquid. It is pretty soupy.
