It's been a crazy summer here, bittersweet in a lot of ways.
I lost a couple of my friends this summer, for a while it seemed like Memorial Services were the number one item on my calendar. Part of the price of getting older I guess........
My parents are in their late 70's and I'm blessed to still have them. But we did have a couple of surgeries and things that remind me to treasure the time I have left with them.
And I became International! LOL I took this little work at home job last year looking for about 10 hours or so a week and somehow it morphed into me being a Project Manager for an African based business. It's a very interesting account as I even deal with a lot of their suppliers in China and other companies based in Europe. Having a hard time keeping that job down to 40 hours a week. LOL
With the time zone differences the pooches love it. They kind of like going for a walk at 2am. LOL And I often work out of my screen room and have decided that my neighborhood has some very strange noises in the middle of the night.
Oh, and I bought one of those little 49CC scooters! 80 miles and I'm still on my first GALLON of gas! It's bright bright yellow and I'm having a blast on it. Not sure if I would want to go to town on it routinely but I love it for my country road errands and visits.
My helmet has pink polka dots on it.
There is a rooster that hides in the trees about 4 miles away that waits for me to slow down to make my turn so that he can attack me.
AND it even cuts through fields well! A must when you live in farm country! ROFL Haven't figured out how to jump the Little River on it yet, but I will. That would save about a mile when I go to visit the folks.
This summer I moved (again), started school, Bo past away during surgery for removing a sock he ate, I started fostering for ABMC again and I'm still broke/unable to find a part time job.
I've seen those scooter things around town here in Indianapolis, but a lot of the time I see the rider off on the side of the road/sidewalk fighting with it to get it started. I'm assuming it stalled out while waiting at a red light or something. I always wanted one until I started seeing them broke down all the time!
