I'm currently reading Dr. Dodman's book, The Well Adjusted Dog, and in it, he refers to a study he took part in, linking the protein content, and tryptophan supplementation of a dog's diet to the increase and decrease of certain types of aggressive behavior in dogs.

I get skeptical about protein levels being correlated with behavior. Remember how many times they've "proved" that corn is wonderful for carnivores?
Tryptophan is basically a sedative. I wouldn't be surprised to find that it changed an aggressive dogs behavior but I'd want to know if just being groggy was considered a positive behavior change.
Anybody know where you can find the whole study rather than just the abstract?

The reason Hills was involved was funding. He wasn't about to fund the study himself. I'm not defending anybody here, but that was his reason given in the book. Hills didn't conduct the study.
