Anyway, just a quick update on my, now 7.5 month old, cc pup.
He no longer "attacks" people when they walk in my house. He has learned that if he stays at my side in a down, when he settles down, he can go say hi. I have his prong collar and 6' leash on him while he is visiting and if he gets a little to rambunctious, I tighten the leash, tell him "off" and give him a slight correction. Im not saying that he is perfect, but he has really improved. He seems much more focused on me now if people are over. Almost constant eye contact with me.
The one thing I have noticed since Ive been correcting these problems is that he has become much more protective of the house as far as people walking by. Then again, it may be his age. He now walks from window to window watching them walk by. If they stop, he barks. I had to spend time correcting my "friend" though. He has been telling him "watch" when they walk by. I only tell him watch if someone knocks on the door. I dont want a dog going through the window after a passerby!!
Thanks for the info and help. I will keep you all updated if you wish.
