I'm getting a free box! Do you guys think I should get Love or Zeal? I usually buy Thrive and usually serve it mixed with a high-quality kibble or raw. I've got 3 medium-sized dogs: 10 yr old shep-mix, 6 yr old lab-mix & 2 yr old lab-mix.
I'm leaning toward Love but I've heard great things about Zeal. Suggestions?
Love seems better suited for active dogs and is closer to what you are currently using. But I just requested Zeal for my free box because it's easier for me to to find beef to add to their diet than quality fish. I also mix with some kibble/add ins and plan on adding some extra fish oil or coconut oil to make up for the lower fat content.
You lucky dog, getting a free box! Hmm, tough decision. Like you, Thrive is what I generally use. The only other variety I've tried is Preference, the one you have to add meat to.
A couple points to consider: Love has the same caloric content as Thrive. Zeal is lower in calories. So if THK is a daily part of your dogs' diet, you would have to make quantity adjustments for that.
The fourth ingredient in Love is flaxseeds, which may cause loose stools in some dogs. (I have one that it probably would.)
I've always wanted to try Zeal, but haven't because it's so much higher in price than Thrive, so if I had a chance for a free box, I'd be tempted.

I'd pick Zeal in a heartbeat! I've bought it twice because I don't have access to much fish that I can afford - if I can buy fish, I'm eating it!
The Zeal is a great food and Kasey loves it. If there isn't enough calories you can mix in something with it to add more. You gotta go for the one that costs the most!

No question for me. I buy Zeal and portion it out in a very miserly fashion because of its fantastic ingredients but matching cost.
I keep it well packaged up and use it as a small "side dish" every other day or so.
I don't know another commercial food with ingredients on the level of Zeal's.
I probably would not feed it as the "only" food (but then, I probably would not feed any single food as the "only" food). But if I had a chance at a free box, I'd leap at it! I make it go a looong way.

Matt, I don't think you'll be sorry. It's such a good food as a supplement, and it's so expensive (deservedly ... but still). A free box .... boy howdy!
