Well, one thing is that there are fewer chemicals and pesticides in wild fish.
PCB content (polychlorinated biphenyls, likely carcinogenic) has been found in some farmed fish at a level forty times higher than in wild fish of the same species. (Farmed salmon isn't subject to the EPA guidelines for PCB contamination that wild salmon is, either, so the warnings that would be given if such fish were wild-caught are absent.) PBBs concentrate in the fat.
