I never had problems with my dogs coat and they always look great. Until lately, Two of my three dogs are developing hot spots. They all are on raw diet. I'm a bit upset because I never had a dog with allergies problems before. I feed them primal and nature variety raw because they already measured the potions. I can't figure out if it's from their diet or if it's seasonal. Right now, I m not sure what to do. I have given bendryl, krill oil, and steroid from the vet.

My dogs hot spots, she had 5 at one time, were allergy related. I give chlortrimeton, her allergies were food related, once I got her on food she wasn't allergic to the hotspots disappeared and haven't returned.
My animals are not "like" family, they ARE family.
I have one that will get hot spots on occasion. I give him 1/2 a chlortrometon in the morning and a benedryl in the evening while dabbing listerine (original formula - the icky brown stuff) on the spot. The listerine dries up the spots nicely - if it burns, you can blow on it to help take the sting out.
Once you find the causative agent, the harsher meds (steroids, etc) can be cut out and the anti-histamines and listerine for the little breakouts.
(the worst issue I ever had was a herding dog with a grass allergy. Sheesh - go out, work cattle, bathe dog, treat, repeat. lol)
