I didn't disappear completely -- nor did I stop working with the dogs.
My hip did suddenly flare up with a serious pain (from arthritis likely) and it almost disabled me.
Despite that, I have been working (a little) with the dogs every day. Trying to do the best possible with what I see Michael doing in the videos.
We have had 'little successes', but slowly, the last few weeks despite that.
Today I had a big breakthrough with Trooper: Took him out front on a long line by himself and got a half dozen clean recalls WITHOUT touching the line to remind him.
He came to me, got a lot of praise (he wouldn't eat, and sent him back to "GO PLAY". He seemed VERY HAPPY to do that.
This may not seem like a big deal to the experts, but I FINALLY have CONTACT with him in public....
