Paper towels don't usually cause trouble. Cloth, OTOH is the cause of many bowel obstructions I have seen. Socks with elastic, yikes. Underpants with elastic. Towels.

Great to hear!
My brother had a White Bull terrier that swallowed a golf ball....and passed it also. OUCH!
Bob, are you serious???!!!! How the heck could a golf ball get out of the stomach and into the intestine??? That's crazy. I would have bet my savings that would need surgery.
We all thought it would require surgery. Same dog ate three tupperware bowls. They were all empty but what the hell, they were there.
He had eaten boxes of cereal, box and all.
His whole life was how to keep him out of things cause he'd eat anything he could get in his mouth.

Thought you'd all love to know, that this morning, 36 hours after he swallowed the paper towel, it came out in one long paper towel rope! So this shows us that paper towels do NOT dissolve in a dog's stomach! At least not Costco paper towels...
My dog when bored tends to jump onto the kitchen and bathroom counters to eat paper towels or bathroom tissue. I believe its called pica,he has had no issues this far. Still working on him not being allowed on the counters....
