Smart move .... the accidents are very rare, but with this danged wall-to-wall, any accident at all is a big fat nuisance.
I sweep the major stuff and pray for the ground to freeze so my hardwood floors can be mopped. That way they don't look like brown, "tree colored" and leaf colored marble hahaha
On those various "Fixer-Upper" and "Flip This House" TV series, INTERIOR CONCRETE FLOORS have been All the Rage !!! Ya just HOSE 'Em DOWN and yur GOOD to GO
I have seriously contemplated just redoing my whole house in stainless steel with those rubber "pool change room" mats to walk on. All I would need is some disinfectant, a squeegee and a hose Mwahahahaha!
I like that idea! It goes a giant step further than my own "life-colored" carpets and upholstery.
I do definitely tend to choose in the dog-colored range for most things. Unfortunately, I have bi-color, black with white, and fawn ..... they need to bring tweed back in style.

I think us "dog" people tend to make our own style anyways. Seriously, I work in an office - but office casual wear is nowhere near sufficient to walk dogs on my lunch hour, nor is it something I can dash of to class in, so comfy pants (black yoga pants can sometimes count as formal wear right?), hoodies and t-shirts are what I wear to work...I think the other women in the office have written me off as far as being "stylish" - they don't even seem to notice what I am wearing anymore.
