My 12 week old puppy won't eat much. She'll eat a few chicken wings now and then, but I can't get her to eat much else. Could she be teething already? She weighed in yesterday at 25 lbs. at the vet's office. Why won't she eat?
I don't claim to know anything about nutrition, but I would be worried about a growing puppy getting the nutrients it needs to form healthy tissues/bone from just a few chicken wings, regardless of its weight.
Maybe you should try one of the nutrient formulas, just to make sure she is getting enough of the basic vitamins, minerals etc. Many of these formulas are pretty tasty for dogs. You could try something like K9 Power Peak Grow (http://www.k9power.com). I use the peak performance and am very happy with it. I like these products because you can mix them with water to make a tasty "shake". I'm sure other people have some recommendations too.
Try feeding ground turkey with beef heart cut in small pieces or ground beef or canned mackeral with yogurt or a little chicken broth mixed in any of the above ingredients.
Hope one of these will do the trick. Always works for me. If she doesn't want it raw try cooking it slightly, gradually adding more raw or one of the better grade natural dog foods. Sounds to me like you just need to get her to eat something at this point.
