In the last couple days Kolt has marked in the house 3-4 times. He's tried it once before and a quick/strong verbal correction stopped it for the past month. The only thing I can figure (besides teenage hormones) is that my new job/schedule is throwing him for a loop. He and Kenzi are doing a bit more resource guarding with each other as well this week (I started on Monday)
So I'm planning on more exercise, a belly band for temporary use and getting a better handle on the resource guarding.
They both are actually. I went from being home most of the time to working away from home full time this week. I think it threw both dogs for a loop AND they didn't get as much exercise and training as usual.
Today they're following me around, playing outside and snoozing.
Just happy active dogs.
One more week of full time then I go to a regular schedule of part time at the new job and part time with the regular farm job.
