Bob just noticed you had already put your grand daughters age in there. Great age to start playing with the dogs. When your still full of the world and no one can tell you, you can't do something..

Your comment, "the body is going too fast tho to take advantage of what is on offer now."
What did you mean?
MF.
haha, nothing major, the things I like are the things best left to the younger guys, just got out of knee surgery and realise a lot of things I am never going to be able to do again.
if I was fit and had the time I would be bumming around the clubs bringing on young dogs to fight men.
I can bring dogs up and on pretty good kind of naturally so it's fun for the dog and make them feel invincible.
to me the guy who really develops a dog and brings it to it's potential is not the guy on the end of the leash, it's the guy taking the bites.
oh well, I will finish out where I started, stock dogs and hunting dogs.
She's 13. Just about the same age her mom, my other two kids were and I was when I first started.
I hope to get it figured out in the next 20 or so yrs.
Peter, Ah yes getting older is tough at times. I'm in the same boat. I missed most of when the suites came into fashion. I get a suit on and have to admit am just not that good in the suit. Plus I get tired pretty quick, been sitting a desk for way to long. It's hell getting old, would much rather fall back to my old ways of just using sleeves, as far as the decoy work is concerned..

Bob.. Ah yes.. Famous saying I started when I was a kid with my first business, it's still very relative even some 30 years later..
"I know Everything, and I know Nothing.. And I know Nothing before I know Everything.. And I hope I feel this way when I'm eighty five." (Getting older now, I need to change that to a hundred and five!)
In other words if your smart you never stop wanting to learn and grow. With dog training, this is all the more so, as there is a never ending supply of things to learn and do with the dogs. To say nothing of the never ending supply of differences in dogs and there owners that come at you, if you do the job professionally.
Been checking out Leerburg-U- I so wish I had a dog to play with right now. I would be all over jumping in on some of these courses. Help me get started with some of the newer application styles that are available through the site.. It looks like Ed and his staff have done a great job putting there courses together. Along with the high caliber of trainers that he has in to work with him on this, I'm real impressed.. Think I might have a dog to play with in a couple weeks when I pull out of this job come April 2nd.. Be a good one to get started with. I have some friends that are getting a little older. They have a high drive 6 month old Aussie that needs some work.. See if we cant help each other out. I need something to play with to get my juices flowing until I get my Mal, and they have a dog thats a perfect candidate that needs some help.. Hate to see a good dog go to waste..
Let us know how your daughters doing with the puppy, sounds like a lot of fun..
