Candi, I have tried several different products like that and it doesn't seem to do much - thank you so much for thinking of us though!
He hasn't been doing too bad. I have been using his crate when he seems to be headed towards getting anxious. Fortunately there hasn't been very much noise lately, but last week for a whole afternoon our neighbor was using a circular saw and I was able to use the crate some of the time and I did some marker training which gets his mind off of it while we are doing the training - this sometimes seems to break a brain cycle he is in and he'll settle down some. I'm still trying things and doing the crate/relaxing training in anticipation of our neighbor doing his remodel sometime this summer.
I did talk with my vet though and she's on board with trying some sedatives if the remodel happens and Kasey is flipping out, so that helps me feel like I'll have some kind of help if necessary. My vet thinks that he is ok with the noise outside, but not in the house, because of our remodel last year, and the fact that when he hears the power tools and is scared, he can't get away when he's in the house - outside he may feel like there's room to run if he 'needs' to. That kind of makes sense!
