IMHO, I think, this was a very nice work. Of course you can see more advanced routines on different sites. Nevertheless I have to congratulate that handler. In can see, she must have put a whole lot of consistent training into this choreo.
I myself am training a bit of dogdancing (beginner) and it is great fun, for handler and dog.
Even old dogs like to learn new tricks? Without doubt! But also old handlers do.
“If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, then you are a leader” – Rudyard Kipling
I confess to love watching heel work to music, the work that goes into it by the handler and the dog just amazes me, the relationship has to be so solid, and while Border Collies seem to be the most often used, I have seen other breeds do just as well, I know it's not for everyone; I know people who don't like the idea of agility and 'man work'.
Loved this! Amazing to see the communication between handler and dog. In most good freestyle routines the dogs seem to radiate joy.
And while I appreciate the precision of a good heelwork routine, I personally kinda find regular obedience heel work to be a bit boring and unnatural. Freestyle just looks like more fun!
