We just put a couple of new articles on the website on Tick Borne Disease Awareness and New Tools in the War Against Tick Borne Diseases. I think everyone needs to read them and share them with friends.
They were written by a friend of mine - Karen Thompson. They chronicle her 19 month battle with a TBD and her ultimate loss of her beautiful Golden Kirby. It devastated all who knew him when Kirby passed. By writing these articles for Leerburg, Karen is hoping all will be more educated, share them, and save lives.
QUOTE: The Heartland virus probably is related to a life-threatening virus recently discovered in China called severe fever with thrombocytopenia, also suspected to come from ticks. A new bacterial tick-borne illness related to Lyme disease was reported earlier this year in patients in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
