What do you think of the Solid Gold line of foods? From what I have seen they look pretty decent. Right now I am feeding Nature's Recipe Allergy Formula Venison Meal; not real thrilled that *meal* is the closest it gets to meat <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> . It has helped my allergy dogs, though... Anyway it runs close to the same price as the Solid Gold, and I have heard so many good things that I am thining about switching. Any opinions???
I am planning to move to raw food, but its out of the question right now for various reasons.
Ive been feeding my GSD Solid Gold since he was 12 weeks old and he is now 14 months. I like it and didnt have any problems with it. Ive been on the adult hund-flocken (Solid Gold) since Onyx was 6 months. As far as kibble goes, I think this is a good one if you elect to feed kibble but RAW is optimal.
Every member of our Schutzhund club feeds and recommends Solid-Gold products. We get excellent results. From working dogs, to breeding bitches and puppies. No complaints or health problems in the group. I feed my female Hund-n-flocken and add the SeaMeal. She loves it.
Whoever will only draw conclusions from the eminence of his own particular point of view, will obtain a distorted picture.-v. Stephanitz
My pup (now 6 months old) was on Solid Gold Mmillennia(sp). I was happy enough with it except that he pooped a LOT. When that 1 bag got low I switched him to Natural Balance. (I cannot buy Solid Gold within 100 miles of where I live.)
He gets the same amount of food, but he poops half as much.
