If something hurts when she sits, then her indication will be unreliable. It sounds like there's a bit of confusion with her now and pain will contribute to that behavior.
What about training a different indication?
I would also look to build your skill when it comes to detailing so you are able to help your dog learn how to work out the problems.
My older dog was diagnosed at 2rs old with Modereter HD but at now 12 the vet says his weakness in the rear is due more to arthritic joints more then HD.
Some dog can show up mild on x-rays yet have to be put down due to pain yet some dogs can show terrible hips on X-ray and never show any issues.

I believe much of the pain of HD comes from the rubbing of the joints to to the improper placement/formation of the joint. So if the hips can be held in the socket with good muscle development many of the symptoms are alleviated
She has and they didn't find anything. I haven't taken her in when they were swollen, we just take it easy that day. I was having her pull to keep the support muscles strong, but I haven't had time in six months so the pain is starting again. It is nothing big at this point she just refuses to put her full weight on her back hips or asks to be lifted in the car. I will keep an eye on it, and continue to have her checked at her check-ups. And I'm sure at some point they will find something and we will have to take a harder look at then.
