I'm sure you have friends where you can pour your heart out and cry, Candi. But if you feel you want to talk here, I swear you'll find people who are always ready to talk with you about it and to share your sadness. Even if we live far away we are near.

So sorry for your loss - it's never easy. But what a wonderful way to go - peacefully in your sleep after a wonderful activity with your family... I wish they could all be lucky like that...
Tribute To A Best Friend

Sunlight streams through window pane
unto a spot on the floor....
then I remember,
it's where you used to lie,
but now you are no more.
Our feet walk down a hall of carpet,
and muted echoes sound....
then I remember,
It's where your paws would joyously abound.
A voice is heard along the road,
and up beyond the hill,
then I remember it can't be yours....
your golden voice is still.
But I'll take that vacant spot of floor
and empty muted hall
and lay them with the absent voice
and unused dish along the wall.
I'll wrap these treasured memorials
in a blanket of my love
and keep them for my best friend
until we meet above.

So very sorry to hear of your loss, Candi. There is definitely a place in Heaven for you and your family for giving MoJa such a great life. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Kelly, your poem is very touching. You made me cry because had to remember every cat I've lost during my life. Not a bad cry, no, one that makes remember but also reminds us, that although we have to suffer about the loss it was worth to have the chance to pass all that happy time with that animal.
