'm from the Penobscot Indian Nation in Maine, USA. My Penobscot name 'Alakso' means 'Wolverine' in my peoples language. This name was given to me by my Uncle Sammy who had watched me for years and was our Tribal Medicine Man before he passed away. I have been taught traditional Native American spirituality (The Red Road) by my Uncle Sammy and Maliseet Medicine people in Northern Maine which included Sweat Lodge ceremonies and a Vision Quest. I'm am a member of the Bear Clan.
I'm a former USMC Grunt and Sniper. I joined the Corps on July 7th 1975 which was my 17th birthday. I left for boot camp at Parris Island, SC. three days later. I shot expert and came in third in my class and was promoted to PFC out of boot camp. I was stationed with the 6th Marines at Camp Lejeune, NC.. Scout Sniper school didn't start back up until '78 so I was informally trained at the company level by a Scout Sniper who served in Vietnam and specialized in counter-sniper tactics.
I like hanging with my DDR German Shepherd Xeus, canoeing, hiking, backpacking, archery, fishing, hunting, trapping, and long range precision shooting.
The most striking features of the correctly bred German Shepherds are firmness of nerves, attentiveness, unshockability, tractability, watchfulness, reliability and incorruptibility together with courage, fighting tenacity and hardness.

I am also from Maine, my parents live in southern Maine in Limington, and are from the Presque Isle area originally. Still have alot of family between there and Bangor. I plan on moving to northern Maine next year, probably in the Fort Kent / Madawaska area. Nice to see another Maine-ah!
