I've rescued a female pit bull about a year ago she is about 17 months now and I notice that when she is
Into doing something like charging on my water sprinklers and you try to stop her she will react agrresivly and growls at me and possibly bite me if I try to grab her .in the other hand she is so good with people, animals and kids,is this a sign of dominance?

Sounds more like a "teenager challenge" to me -- I would keep a 30 foot Long-Line on her with a PRONG collar & a Dominant Dog collar back-up attached while playing in the yard ... She must Be Taught the LEAVE IT command & the COME command Before going WITHOUT a Leash.

Previous (bad) owners threw her away @ 5 months of age...
You've had her for a YEAR...
"She is SO GOOD with people, Animals, and KIDS"...
IMHO, this does NOT really sound like a Dom/Aggro pup to me, Marcelo
As Bob mentioned above, I imagine she has had ZERO introduction to Pack Structure (polite manners with people & proper submission to owners) and not very much Obedience Training either (???)
When HIGH DRIVE out-of-control dogs are allowed to charge wildly around the yard, madly engaging a "prey" item (sprinklers, balls/toys, squirrels, whatever) they do NOT have to be Dom/Aggro in order to play King-of-the-Mountain and get TOO ROUGH with their family members (whether canine OR human) -- That is often how UNTRAINED High Drive dogs act when they are allowed to become Overly Excited ... Sometimes that behavior is rev'ed up even more when the dog is Frustrated by PENT-UP Energy and Too LITTLE PROPER Exercise
