Honestly Christina, I don't have the heart to work with Jazz anymore. After a year of training, exercising and living with him, and getting not even a glance in return unless someone else is around, I just don't want to waste my energy on a one-sided relationship.
And after 13 days of Jim caring for him, he is exhibiting the same attitude towards him. Last night he had diarrhea again, after we left him behind to go cut wood. He luckily waited til Jim got home, but today is giving the stink-eye to Jim. I laugh since at least it is not to me anymore!
Hi, Becky. I understand the way you're choosing absolutely. When I wrote about having in the long run success with Jazz too, I didn't want to say "go on training him". It is probably my way of expressing myself in a foreign language which can lead to inexact formulations. Sorry about that. I only thought, that when you're training your new puppy, the simple handling of that puppy, your whole interaction with him while Jazz can be in your presence sometimes, might be of some influence for Jazz too. In a manner like Dot had a positive influence. Of course I cannot know. Just an impression I had.
By the way for the stink-eye I get it what it means out of the context, but never heard this word before.
