I'm so pleased for you and Shorty that she has got some relief, it must be a weight off your mind!
As to the peculiar behaviour.... My 14 year old Pointer has developed some odd behaviour over the last few months, he eats every scrap of moss he can snuffle out in the garden, he licks the living hell out of his side of the sofa, and he stands in the middle of the sitting room just staring into space - mind you, I do that sometimes! - I think its just a bit of senile dementia, both my oldies have gone a bit bonkers in the last year, maybe Shorty is just having senior moments
Thanks for the catch up, I have been thinking of you both.
Chip, thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear there seems to be some improvement on the Vetmedin. Of course, only time will tell. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this will keep the more serious episodes at bay.
The other things you are describing about the head-weaving, licking the chair, are truly puzzling. (You may have mentioned it before, but I don't remember the licking part.) I know it must be frustrating not having any answers about the cause of these symptoms. As you mentioned, though, sometimes, despite the best efforts of ourselves and our vets, there just are no simple answers.
I'm keeping you and Shortie in my thoughts and continuing to send good wishes your way.
