We are looking at places to board Greta for future and some of them offer optional "doggy daycare" if your dog passes their temperament test.
I have no idea if Greta would pass their test. I'm kind of on the fence whether I'd even want to try. Essentially it sounds like a staff monitored dog park; if your dog exhibits any aggression or bullying issues he/she is no longer included / invited.
Any experiences / thoughts on this? I can see where this might be a good thing for a high energy dog that needs to blow off some steam and likes to play... and these people are paid to keep an eye on the dogs present versus owners who may not be paying attention. At the same time I am cautious about letting someone else monitor my dog among several other dogs because you just never know. I know a few people who take their dogs to similar programs and have had positive experiences.
Going to tour a place on Friday afternoon that offers this; if your dog does not participate in "daycare" for whatever reason they will be taken out of their kennels to stretch their legs time 4-6x per day as a part of boarding. Not sure if I am allowed to post the company's website; they came recommended by a former coworker who used their daytime services for her energetic small dog once or twice per week.
