Don't worry, I loved to read this. Very fascinating. Great, that they can really be trained as service dogs. I'd love to try this for simple things, not professionally, But my two pits are probably already too old (about 6 1/2 yrs). Do you know a DVD, Vid or book about how to train in this direction?

Socks has got somehow a feeling ror this. I can drop on walks intentionally a ourse or anything else. Even if I drop it behind us, she runs , picks it up and delivers it to me. The Lab-Mix does it occasionally, the other two not at all.
Maybe I could try something like that with the first two. As they are outdoor-dogs, I have no chances to teach them to open a door, a drawer etc. But they're are good at searching things.
I've also read , we can teach a dog to take an item with a message in it and deliver it to another person, who will then put his written message into iDo you know, how I can make them understand, they have to bring it for example to my husband or a friend, they know.? They always bring it just to me.
