Well, just a tiny cintribution:
I have an LB book about raw food diet. There is recommend to give also certain fruits abd veggies, I'm followuing this and had no isues with this since 4 years.
The authour also recommends to give from time to time a little garlic clove. Should be good to avoid infections and have other advantages.
But later on I read on other spots that garlic is toxic for dogs as it is an onion plant,. Until now I've mixed once or twice a week one clove for 4 dogs in a veggie glop.INone of them had ever a problem though, but I'm asking myself now if I should give it to or not. Do you guys serve some garlic or not? What do think about it?

Thank you all. Onions I have neve given, as in the book I haveand the articles I read they're all on the same page. What concerns garlic same write"Never!", others "in small amounts!", next ones "very healthy".
Those different opinions confused me. So, means I will leave this. I guess the dogs don't really need it, though they do love iit mmensely. Luckily as they are big dogs and received just a little bit, it didn't harm them.
Chocolate was clear for me, they never recieved a single little piece. I also don't give industrially produced treats, as they mostly contain sugar. stabilizers, dyes and the devil knows what.If they have earned a treat between the ordinary sessions it is one or two pieces of carrots, mangas, bananas, apples, ananas, papayas, carne ou agua de coco. Never uvas.
Another fruit now enters my mind: Avocado. Here the views differ too. Some declare them as very healthy in small amounts. Others warn because some dogs can be allergic or it can lead to diarhreia.
We have an avocado tree in our yard. We down strike all fruits which are still hard but nearly ripe. But it can happen, that now and then a single one can fall during the night and then they eat it. But during the last six years none of them had any issues.
Thanks Connie for the link. Very enlightening! Thanks God. reading the sentence "Consumption of as little as 15 to 30 g/kg in dogs has resulted in clinically important hematologic changes,” So as I mixed the gobble only with a quarter of a little clove for 30-40kg dogs, I think I was luckily sttill an the safe side.
