John Collins Webboard User Reg: 06-03-2018 Posts: 9 Loc: Offline	When I walk my 12 month old giant schnauzer at night, I notice he is much more alert and will bark more at things (e.g., statue) and sounds (wind chime) . He does not have his tail tucked - it is more like forward pulling aggression/inquisitive trying to get at whatever has piqued his interest. During the days he's more apt to ignore these types of things. Is this just fear - maybe he's at a fear stage. Or are some dogs more naturally alert at night. I make sure to bring him over to whatever he has alerted to so he can investigate it. Thanks John Collins

YEP, dogs know what Time it is, day & night -- In the animal kingdom, lots of Killing goes on at NIGHT ... All dogs I've ever had were much more Guardy during the hours of Darkness!
