I think what we're really doing here is skirting around a much simpler but much more important topic. We are definately talking about two different styles of training obedience. One leaves you in control through (and make no mistake about this) COMPLETE domination over your dogs. I don't think the other will give you that. I have no problem with my domination over others for their own good. Example; I once captained my little Falmouth cutter sailboat into blue water, and while I was not ALWAYS the favorate of the crew, we ALWAYS got to where we were going, and we got there safe and sound <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Lets stay on target - this thread is about this school.
I had never heard of the schoiol until I looked at the web site.
There are schools like this all over the country - they offer limited benefits. Many are a waste of money - I hear complaints from people who have been ripped off all the time (West Virgina Canine is a perfect example) almost every week. This is an area of BUYER BEWARE !!!!!!! My experience is most of these deals are not worth the investment
I recommend the Tom Rose School in St Louis. Jerry Wolfe also has a good school at Triple Crown (Jerry went to Tom Roses school after I recommended it a number of years ago and most of his instructors are Rose graduates - good people)
So if you want to teach your dog to fetch frizbees - the school mentioned in the first post on this thread may be OK - but if you want to learn to run a dog training business and hold classes - look at Tom's place or Triple Crown.
I hope this is not limited to one school, but I am looking for a good school in NorthEastern NJ. Could anyone recommend one. Or if i am not in the proper place for this information, someone let me know where to go, of course for working dogs. The school where I purchased my dog moved to far for me to make the trip, more land, bigger field.
