April, I want to give my deepest condolences and urge you to contact your local authorities and request that they investigate this outrageous act.
I live in the state of Washington where we are also dealing with an attack on a dog which two young men tied a husky to a tree and fired an arrow into the dog more than ten times. Each time pulling the arrow from the dog and firing again. Both have been charged with a felony cruelty to animals and with support from a local residents and an animal rescue sanctuary Pasado’s Safe Haven we hope they will feel the full measure of the law. You can read more about this at Pasado's Safe Haven.
Thanks to everyone who has suggested I call the police I have just called 911 and the police are on there way in hopes that my search for answers will help me find closure.
A breeder who has no interest in rescue of the breed it has produced is of no worth to anyone, and even less worth to the breed.
Mike, no prints were taken as far as I know, the police are waiting for the necropsy report and the toxicology report, even after the reports are in we still don't have a suspect

First, very sorry to hear what happened to your dog. Thought I'd mention that windshield washer fluid often contains anti-freeze to keep it from freezing on windshields in winter. It's also dangerous for dogs.
April, I just want to add my name to the list of people who are horrified and sickened by what has happened to your dog,
and to offer you my heartfelt sympathy. I'm so very sorry for your loss. I know it's a longshot, but I pray that the human filth is caught and punished.
WTF is wrong with our society? Why are some people so cruel-
that arrow story almost made me vomit. I'm not much better, all I can think of is 'death by icepick' for the @#$%@#$%
responsible for malicious attacks on animals. Especially when it involves peoples' beloved pets. I honestly can't express the disgust I feel with mere words.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />I am so sorry to hear about your dog. It makes me so mad to think someone would do this to your dog. I hope you find out who it was. My Prayers will be with you in your time of need.Try to think of the good times with your dog.
Again I am sorry to hear this. God bless you and your dogs!

My condolences. Makes me sick to my stomach hearing about it. I wonder what I would do if it was my dog--I'd probably be beating everyone remotely suspicious with a hammer and a bat if they come close to me. What's even more sickening is they probably didn't do this for any reason OTHER than fun.
I remember the sick f*ck who ran over my puppy with his bicycle last year. (It was one of those cab things in third world countries where the bike is strapped to some sort of compartment). Poor baby was just playing with a pile of sand by the street side, right on our property, and the bastard deliberately went towards us. I screamed but he just went over the pup and continued driving on. He must be pretty glad he disappeared later on...I was just about ready to beat his bicycle over his head, if I wasn't too worried about the pup. (I tried to look for him later on but to no avail). Good thing Chi survived.
Idiots like these...deserve to be hung up on a tree naked...and used as a living tug for our dogs.
