Maybe PETA has a chance to be useful with this horror I have posted below. My cousin
sent me this link and it makes me sick to my stomach. If I EVER saw ANYONE in ANY country
doing this I would go postal I could kick some ass on this issue...

I just learned via one of the other lists I'm on about this horror.
Apparently, the Soccer World Cup is to be held in Korea this year and
there is a plan to serve real dog meat in the form of hot dogs which
are to be handed out free. The following link provides more detailed
information about this horror as well as what you can do about it.
Participating sponsors include Coca Cola, MasterCard, Budweiser,

The Korean President Kim Dae Jung, FIFA, sponsors, has a sample
letter and phone numbers for ABC, NBC Dateline, & CBS 60 Minutes.
Please be forwarned that the description of the method of slaughter
is very unpleasant to say the least.

regardless of culture ,animals with some type of brain activity should not be tortured.

Karmen, I agree with you 100%. This is horrible and I couldn't keep from crying when I read about the torture they're putting these dogs through. The issue here is not what animal is acceptable to eat and what isn't, it's about the cruelty with which they're killing the animals. NO animal should ever be tortured this way...and, as far as I'm concerned, the punishment for cruel people who do this should be to have something similar done to them. Maybe they should string these people up and beat them for an hour or so to show them what it feels like. That would make people think twice about tormenting & brutally killing these poor helpless animals <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

yup first one got kicked, i think the other 2 work.
just sent one to mastercard. their site has worldcup as one of the subjects in the drop down to select.

I listen to a local radio sport show. One of the hosts was a reporter at the Korean Olympics. The Korean government didn't want to embarrass them selves so during the events they cracked down on anyone selling dog meat. Some of the reporters had a taxi driver drive them to some off beat place to eat a dog meal. One can just as easy feel pity for the bulls, hogs, and what ever else you can think of that people get pleasure torturing.
