The AKC just published the totals for the year of 2003 for all the breeds that managed to earn a Tracking Title ( see the AKC Events Calender, April issue ).
Some interesting results, overall. A total of 464 TD's, 96 TDX's, and 21 VST's for the year. That's a huge jump for VST's, by the way.
GSD's were number two for TD totals ( Golden Retrivers were number one ) The same ratio was held for TDX's also, with Goldens being number one and GSD's being number two.
There were more TD's awarded to just GSD's then to the entire Working Dog group....ouch.
