Last week a K-9 was lost in Chambers County AL. The dog was named Narco and it was a dual purpose Narc dog. The handler released the dog on three men running from him. Not knowing that one of them had a shotgun. The dog procceded to bite one of the men in the calve at that time the dog got shot from that man. You can give credit to Opelika Police Dept K-9 and Lee Countys K-9 with there tracking dogs to find the individuals later that day. They had a nice funeral and GA and AL police officers paid a triubute to fallen member.
Its always sad to hear of an Officer that die in the line of duty, another example of off leash searches being the way to go. It saved the human officers life probably.
You did your job Narco, you brave and faithful warrior. Police officers/K9 teams are the protectors of civilazation, they are our first line defense from barbaric criminals of the street. They are on earth Guardian Angles. Narco you earned your wings.
I honor you and I offer my condolence to your handler and Department, lets hope your handler is lucky enough to get another partner like Narco.
