I am considering a purchase of a Mal. I possibly have a deal that maybe to good to be true.. How many generations should the lines be removed before it's in-breeding?
The pup's grandpa on both sides is the same dog.. but different grandmas... Is this a dog I should consider purchasing? It may be why I'm getting such a great deal on the dog?
The guy, although sounds sincere, seems to be trying to breed dogs to sell to Police Departments. He has sent me a copy of both the mom and dad's pedigree and would be glad to e-mail a copy for further investigation.
I certainly don't want to pass up a deal, but don't want a dog that is screwd up either.
I'll just reply to myself here but jump in at any time..
I did a little research and found out that this practice is called Line breeding (Which I am sure most of you know) So that eased my mind somewhat about getting this pup..
