Ed said"The older I get the less I like a dog that bites me !!!!"
But Ed, think of the stories you can tell (or make up) about all those scars. I have ton's of fun with mine. It also works well to discourage people that shouldn't own working dogs, just start showing them your hands and legs... I have seen a lot of people change their minds about dogs once they see the scars!!!!! (But I am with you...Got way to many scars... I don't need any more.)

Ed,I have seen a couple of your Otis sons that are doing SchH. IMO, they are very nice dogs, but not for everyone. How old are your pups from the 2-2 linebreeding on Otis? If old enough, what have you seen that you like or dislike?
What lines have you found cross best with Mink? Or do you look more at the dogs and combine them that way.
I have heard that Mink crossed well with Urs Hopfenstrasse. I have seen Urs X Grischa Schwarzen Milan crossed into Mink. Lewis was the result of crossing a Pascha daughter (sire of Grischa also) with Mink. Actually the dam of my 5 month pup is by Lewis out of a Grischa daughter.
Interesting that you mention independence. My Citty Haus Ming daughter is by a Wumm Kaisersäule (Wumm is by Troll Körbelbach) son whose dam is by Fado Karthgo. She has that wonderful genetic grip from her sire. She gains understanding of exercises very quickly and is very resilient, but boy oh boy is she independent. I also use to say that my Arko daughter's guidability decreased in direct proportion to how far she was from me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Having spoken to his owner and past owner in Slovakia he is known as a very serious dog. Good drives but dosen't have a sence of humour. He's now 10 years old and lives in Ohio. Like I said before, he has produced tons of very serious dogs, mainly to Czech bitches.
