What's everybody think about "the Dog Whisperer" Cesar Millan? Has anybody seen his show on the national geographic channel? His methods seem to center on establishing yourself as pack leader - solid advice. But what is unique is the way he lives with a pack of 30 or so dogs and seems to do it successfully without fighting etc.. He also uses this pack to rehabilitate other problem dogs. The dogs in his pack weren't raised together from puppies either, supposedly they were very agressive dogs from the streets of LA before they were rehabilitated...pit-bulls, Rotts, GSD's, etc..
I love the Dog Whisperer show, my favorite is the one where he attempts to groom the little white fluffy dog. The number of bandaids on his fingers increase with each close up. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I was a professional groomer for 15 years so I really enjoyed this episode.
I've also enjoyed his show. Have signed up for one of his seminars this month. I think I will pick up some helpful information here, especially dealing with the multiple dog household. There is not too much information available on this subject, and recently I misread my dogs' body language, resulting in a serious fight between two neutered males. I hope I never have to go through that again. His emphasis on exercise is also a plus for the pet owner that is not working his/her dog. So many dog owners don't have the ability to bring their dogs home in a tired, relaxed state.
