I've been watching the mal since the early 80's when the Department of Defense brought an airplane full of them into the US. Although for the first time I am now seeing them in rescues and even humane shelters. I've picked up 5 of them, all rescues from various sources, 3 of them are now drug dogs, the other 2 are bomb dogs. I have also noticed an increase in the number of people that are starting to breed them. Popularity for the mal, will be just as damaging as it was to the GSD, the Lab and anyother breed that became a "must own animal". This has been an interesting and informative thread.
