I disagree,
go back and reread his first post. All the guy asked was what size dobie do others have. It was the other board members that went on the witch hunt.
he has a great tempermant, very protective!!! wants to go after anone thats he see's (this exception is that it's in the later hours of the evening) Kojak, this is the part of his thread that caught everyone's attention. He seems to be bragging that his dog wants to go after everyone.
This board is a wonderful place to learn IF YOU LISTEN TO THE GOOD ADVICE YOU RECEIVE. This is not a funny situation, Kojak, and Pete is absolutely right about where this could end up. King Dobie thinks it's funny now, but it's probably going to come back and eventually bite him in the ass (no pun intended). Personally, I feel sorry for the puppy.
Or perhaps Kojak also missed this little gem from King Dobie:
Quote:
he is very gentle but wheb given the command to get him, he will without question
Please, Kojak--I hope you'll clarify where in the protection-training process a six-month-old dog should be taught a command to "get him"??? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
What I just read is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen posted here.
King Dobie,
You have a lot to learn about protection training. No one here is clowning around, joking or whatever. Pete has really hit the nail on the head. Now we are talking about a potentially dangerous dog in the hands of an owner with a very foolish attitude. I suggest you educate yourself before you come back and post nonsense like you posted. I gave you a chance to clarify...believe me, I'm sorry I did. Topic closed.
DOBE,
Sound training and behavior principles are not breed specific. People's personal likes or dis-likes of Dobies' really has nothing to do with what took place here.
