Your kidding me right? I can not express myself? But someone else can use foul language towards me and others? How do you expect people to be forth coming with ideas when you just shut them down? Just because someone does not share the same views as you does not mean they are wrong! If thats the case this forum is a one sidded opinion. Everyone else gets shut out! I didn't realize we lived in a communist nation. As long as everone behaves themselves there should be no reason to close the thread.
Maybe what you don't realize is that Ed PAYS to have this board. If it is something he doesn't agree with it gets closed. As moderators we close threads when they are being rediculous, stupid, or just outright bad dog training information. If you would like to have an unmoderated board, you can contact the Infopop corp at the bottom of your screen and set up a board all on your own. You will soon find that unmoderated boards suck!
I did correct Jerry for the foul language and he apologized. I will be quite honest with you, if you were as valuable a resource for dog training info as Mr Cudahy I might cut you some slack to, but for now.... it is what it is...
I agree un-moderated boards suck! But it also sucks for people to not be able to have an open discussion. I apoligized for my poor choice of words. I am upset as to the way the media is driving this. How do you know I am not a good source for training info? I do not feel comfortable posting sometimes. I really like this board, but sometimes things just get ridiculous. It seems that the owner did everything he could do to contain his dog. And he most likely had no idea his dog would do this. If a dog wants out, he can get out. There is only so much you can do.
The dog got out and attacked a kid. You are not going to find anyone on this board who will condone making excuses for the dog's owner. Yeah, stuff happens, but as dog owners, we are responsible for what our dogs do, no matter what. My perception is that that is the reason that the thread got closed, period.
Jerry apologized for name calling. Someone else did not directly call you a name, but it was implied. An apology for the implied foul language would be nice, but I doubt you will get it. For one thing, you keep opening your mouth. For another, some folks are just not people people. I know it sucks to feel attacked. Imagine how that little boy must feel.
You didn't start the first thread off well, you admit that, right?
OK, we forgive you. . .we love you too. . .post a nice open thread about why the media sucks. I'm sure you'll have mega support for that argument. . .
STOP POSTING THIS CRAP! Your ideas about the media were not moderated your dumb comment about kid walking was the source of all the negative comments about you and what turned out to be a dumbbooty thread and the whole thing got shut down.
This one is friggin closed too.
You wanna have a converation about bad media coverage of dog attacks, sensationalism and ratings, immoral news reporting and fact bending. . .DO IT.
You wanna have a gripe session about the moderators E-MAIL ED FRAWLEY!
AND, by the way, none of my dogs have EVER gotten loose. NOT EVER. . .
That is your responsibility as a dog owner, especially a drivey dog owner.
