Hi board, my first post here so bare with me ....I understand that this is A GSD oriented board, but was told that there are some knowledgeable Dobermann people on here as well. I think someone even mentioned someone by the name of Cindy....anyways, I am looking to buy a dog for either Schutzhund or FR (haven't made the final decision yet) and am considering a pup out of Tarek. He has a really strong working pedigree, and his dam is I believe the only female dobermann to have the KNPV met lof (I might be wrong). Is there anyone here that has seen Tarek in person, or knows the lines a little better than myself that could give me some input good OR bad?
Thanks in advance
PS.
there is a video of him here you have to go to the filmgalerij then to ljist then find Tarek od de Deutsche Meisterschaft (i think it like the 14 th video from the top)
Anna, I presume you have checked out the dobermann forum at http://www.network54.com/Forum/200717.
The people on that board have mentioned Tarek several times. I guessing that most of the people who have seen him in the flesh are going to be in the Netherlands or elsewhere in europe where Tarek resides. I can't help, but I hope someone can..It's good to see a post about a dobe on this board anyway. I'm curious as to which litter you are looking at? Who is the bitch??
Hi Dave thanks for the reply. I have checked out the above mentioned site, there is a wealth of information about Tarek as well as other dogs. I just want to get as many opinions as possible before I make a final decision. The main reason why I became interested in Tarek is because a friend of mine is getting a pup out of him. I am not looking at any particular litter yet, but apparently the litter that my friend will be getting a pup from is really an outstanding combination. It is the V litter Brueckendorfer and the dam is Brea v Haus Mann.
Thanks again, and any other info would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Sandra, thanks for the reply. Its nice to hear from the owner of this dog. Basically talking to people I see that the opinion on this dog is very divided. People either think that he is one of the greates dobermanns and that the breeds needs to see more dog like him, or they think that he has weak nerves and that he is a shallow biter and doesn't have a good grip. Now I just would like to know if he is a good dog or not. But you are his owner and I'm sure you know him better than anyone. Any info I would appreciate. thanks
Hi Anna,
Offcoarse I can tell you he's a good dog but hey that's what any owner would say.
On the video you can see some impression of his fight drive.
Many people are not used to that anymore and call it weak nerves, because he would avoid the helper or stickhits.
I can invite them to attack me in a dark alley with the dog. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Otherwise contact the breeder of Bruckendorfer,Von Niersbruch,Mark Neal(who saw him almost attack a "strange" civilian) Ed Nurse,
