I have a question regarding protection breeds and why the GSD seems to outshine all other Schutzhund dogs. I am aware of the decline in quality of breeding here in America, but in reference to untainted bloodlines, why is the German Shepherd the idea Schutzhund/Protection breed? Why not the Rottweiler, Doberman, Belgian Sheepdog, Malinois, Tervuren or even the Giant Schnauzer? All these are fully capable or being excellent home protection or Schutzhund dogs. If you could give me some feedback as to why these other breeds dont seem to compare to the GSD and any other info I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.
*Sigh*
