Seriously? Isn't it kind of rude to come to Leerburg Kennels (a GSD working kennel) chat board and ask members to promote at least 19 other kennels? I don't know - maybe I'm wrong. (I have been before.)

I don't know - maybe I'm wrong. (I have been before.) Well, not if what you are asking is which kennel names you find in your pedigrees that you appreciate. This is a pretty broad question then that goes to genetics. If you are looking for web sites to correspond I think you are then asking for the promotion of mostly US kennels and the history is too short for all but a couple (leerburg being one of them) to claim any impact on the genetics of the working dog in America. It is also an absolute truth that most kennels in the US import what they are interested in and or sells pedigree wise and don't actually propagate their own breeding either through males they bred or females they bred in their litters. That being said, a poll of 20 kennels probably doesn't reflect 20 favorite lines of GSD's but 20 kennels using popular European kennels in their first generation over and over.
Try rephrasing the question to: What working kennels in America fairly consistantly have either the sire or dam or both with their kennel name in the pedigree? You will find less than 20 successful working kennels.
The discussion is open to both European and American Kennels as far as the history of producing top performing dogs at National or World events. Read Kevin's post above for clarification of intended topic.
