Hey, does anybody know what color combinations in breeding produce what colors? I have not been able to get a straight answer from anybody. I'm talking GSDs here. Me and my buddy have had a little on-going fight about who is right about colors and breeding.
Example:
Black + Black and Tan = what?(%of each)
Sable + Black =? and %s
Bi-B/T + Sable =? and %s
I want to know all the combinations,if possible? Any links out there? I'm getting a little PO'ed with my jerk-of-a-friend that insists that you have to cross black and red with black and tan to get red sable. Dumbass. . .I hope  . . .
Without getting too heady, doesn't one first need to know what is dominant and recessive color genes? Isn't this where the Punett (sp) sqare come in? I am just a dum copppp, so how intelijint kood mie respons be any how, write VanCamp? Just observed a litter where mama was conventional black / tan sadled bitch with gray sable dad. 11 live births, two sable males, one sable female. the rest b/t .5 male .5 female. hope it helps.
