I know of one that is in Germany that is just under 3 now I think, and is Sch 3 with v scores that are real. I have heard of a few others that were very nice; a lot of them have very nice collected prey drive, and have good temperments. The first one that I mentioned would be good for police if trained as a service dog.
A friend of mine got a young dog from this animal and was pleased. The common thing that I hear is that they have great character.
I've seen multiple progeny from two different litters by Troll. Aside from the mother's dog aggression in one litter, they are top-notch sport dogs. Absolutely flawless grips, super high prey drive, very good nerves. My favorite is a 24 mo. old bitch in our club that has truly the clearest head I've ever seen, yet prey and natural aggression out the wazoo. From what I've seen of these two litters, he'd be at the top of my list when looking for a schutzhund prospect.
I've also heard that he produces the "clear in the head" dogs with high prey. Good for sport, definitely. Other aspects that would lend to a good "real working dog", I've heard mixed reviews and have yet to hear of one of his offspring that was used in that manner. I can see how he could be used to bring back some "clear thinking" and high prey, to a high aggression/fight drive Czech line though, possibly even a little more help with handler focus via the Fado/Harro/Racker line.
Ed,
the Troll we're talking about here is linebred 2-3 Fado Karthago, not the Troll vd bösen Nachbarschaft out of Fero. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
