I would like to know what people look for in a good quality bitch as far as temperment goes. I know it is easier to find a good stud than it is a good bitch. I would like to know what qualities breeders look for in determining which females will be bred.

Any other breed problems checked for. Check both dogs background, any health/temperment problems in there? Many breeds have more problems than others. What kind of pup's are you looking to breed? Working dog, show dogs, pets? Find a stud that will compliment your bitch (I don't mean, wow, what big brown eyes you have), the stud should be a superior dog and offset any of the bitches fauits. If the bitch has significant faults, don't breed her.
