I have an Aly son that is pretty high drive, good fight drive. Can be a little handler sensitive at times. He's 3.5 yrs old. I've seen other Aly progeny who's nerves have started to go to crap by the time they are 3 yrs old. Luckily my male has held up. He was started in prey drive, but he works MUCH better in defense in protection. Bites are fuller, harder. Obedience is flashy. Have found him to be a little stubborn at times, giving that "heck with you" look and have had to resort to force at times. Can be slow to pick up things (so he tries to make you think) until you see him decide whether or not he wants to do it, then we have to usually straighten him out, lol. Overall though, one of the easier dogs I've worked, truly loves working, has a very good nose for tracking, def. high drive for sport. He's alot of fun to work. JMO.

Raymond,
I dont have Aly's progeny but I do have his son's progeny via Sirk Belchen. Super dog no issues. Dancer in OB great in protection and have a keen nose too. But I owe this to a good foundation work and this lady is only coming to 2 and still thinks like a sweet 16.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I have not pressured her much until she gets better maturity but I dont have any doubts about her either. I love what I see. Simply my best investment so far.

When the dog is confused, blame not the dog but shoot the handler.
