I just joined a Sch club near were I live and one of the members is planning a litter. I know nothing of pedigrees, but is it reasonalble to assume that if both bitch and dog are carrying Sch titles and are in good health that at least one or more of the litter will be suitable for local SchutzHund? Both bitch and dog come from Czech lines. I want the dog strictley for SchutzHund and I'm a NFG to the sport.
Just doing the prediction from a statistical standpoint, at least one of the puppies from the parents that you described should work out for showing in SchH. The bell shaped curve works to your advantage there!
Doing a good puppy selection test will be a big help to you for making your choice.

Dennis-Will gives excellent advice as usual....if the puppies have the genetic material. Test the pups individually and as a group to "hedge your bets" as to getting a good SCH dog. If you don't have the experience yourself I would bet someone in your club does and most people are happy to lend some expertise when it comes to working dogs. We're all in this together. Also if you get the desire to do some pedigree research that will greatly help your cause and if not again try to find someone on this board a club member of yours. Derek

thanks guys, I think there is a few pages here on puppy selection. I got a bit of time to read up on it. He hasn't got them together yet and from what I read so far that could prove to be a challenge itself
