Thanks for the great info.
Now it seems I have a dilemma........
I was doing a search of my dog Bella's pedigree (for the first time, really) because I wanted to see the pics on this site of all of the dogs in her pedigree.
Well, the strange thing is that on Bella's papers from the breeder her grandfather is listed as being Dorijan v. Yohaness Berg, but Dorijan's sire is listed on Bella's pedigree as being Nero V.Hirschel!!! According to the website, Dorijan's sire is REALLY a dog named Gandi v. Heilbronner Schlo*. There is also a discrepancy on the dam's names!!!! On Bella's papers it claims that Dorijan's mother is Kora v.d. Ehrenfeste, not Ola vom Yohaness Berg???
I can't find Bella's mother's name( Jolly vom Lachenerweg) on the list of dogs in the database for that website.......
So, does it look as if I've been lied to about her true pedigree?? I don't knkow what to do... Should I call her breeder for an explanation???
WOW, I am sooooo upset right now <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Isn't that a great site? I printed pictures of the first three generations of my dog and put them in a book. I will give copy's to future owners of my pups. It's always fun to see what these great dogs look like.
Jeannette, I would be more apt to believe her papers. With Schafers, people can add dogs all the time. I had entered my dog a while back went to look a couple months ago for something and they had incorrect information. I emailed them and it was corrected within a few wks.

Ok, I looked up Dorijan in my database (which is comprised of checked & double checked info from studbooks). Dorijan's sire is Gandi vom Heilbronner Schloß and his dam is Ola vom Yohaness Berg.

Mike, Thank you soo much!!!
So now what should I do????? Her entire pedigree is wrong as I have it! Do you think I should ask the breeder to explain this!
I'm so glad I didn't decide to breed her as the breeder had tried to push for.If I had I would have misrepresented an entire half of her bloodlines!!I waited until she was 2 to spay her. Her drives are GREAT but I don't like her conformation really( sad to say!)
I hate to think I may have been lied to! ( but it does seem to be the case, right?!) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
