I am from the Nashville Tn area. I have a very nice bitch out of good working lines. she is only 11mos. old, but she is not getting any younger. I have been to a schutzhund field about 1 hour away from my house. The helpers there know what they are doing and have done a good job in training alot of nice dogs. The problems are:
A:It is 1 hour away
B:I am a full time student and also work so it is hard for me to make it up there as much as needed
C:They like to cancel sessions on the days that I have time to go up there.
So I don't see the point in paying the club dues when I am only going to make it once a month or every couple of months. I am looking for someone who is either near me where I can take my dog or someone who can come to my home and help me train my dog. I need somone who is reliable and experienced. If there is anyone who fits this discription or who knows of anyone PLEASE make an effort to let me know. I know that my dog has potential and I want to bring it out in her. Thank you
If you have a good helper within one hour - go to your library get a good book on tape and consider yourself a lucky SOB that you have a good helper within an hour of your house.
If you cannot afford the time or money to deal with the travel there is nothing wrong with AKC obedience training or agility training.
